Our Commitment to Safe Gambling

pabcor operates under the regulatory oversight of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), which mandates responsible gaming measures for all licensed operators. Beyond regulatory compliance, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our players and the Filipino gambling community.

Gambling should be a form of entertainment — a fun way to pass time, test your luck, and maybe win some extra cash. It should never become a financial burden, a source of stress, or something that negatively impacts your relationships, work, or mental health. When gambling stops being fun and starts causing problems, it's time to take action.

The pabcor Responsible Gaming program provides tools, resources, and support to help you maintain a healthy relationship with gambling. Whether you're just starting out or you've been playing for years, understanding the risks and knowing how to protect yourself is essential.

What is Problem Gambling?

Problem gambling (also called gambling disorder or gambling addiction) is the urge to continue gambling despite harmful negative consequences or a desire to stop. It can affect anyone regardless of age, income, education, or background. Problem gambling is recognized as a behavioral addiction similar to substance use disorders.

Warning signs of problem gambling include:

  • Gambling with money you can't afford to lose (rent money, bill payments, savings meant for family needs)
  • Chasing losses — continuing to gamble to win back money you've lost
  • Lying to family members or friends about how much time or money you spend gambling
  • Neglecting work, school, or family responsibilities to gamble
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling
  • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when trying to cut down or stop gambling
  • Using gambling as an escape from stress, depression, or other emotional problems
  • Spending increasing amounts of time and money on gambling to achieve the same excitement

If you recognize these signs in yourself or someone you care about, help is available. Problem gambling is treatable, and recovery is possible with the right support.

21+ Age Requirement: Why It Matters

Philippine law and PAGCOR regulations prohibit anyone under 21 years of age from gambling at casinos, online gambling platforms, or placing sports bets. This age restriction exists because the human brain continues developing until the mid-20s, particularly the prefrontal cortex responsible for impulse control, decision-making, and risk assessment.

Young people who gamble before their brains fully mature are at higher risk of developing gambling problems later in life. Research shows that individuals who start gambling as teenagers or young adults are significantly more likely to experience gambling addiction compared to those who wait until they're older.

pabcor takes age verification seriously. All new players must submit valid Philippine government-issued identification (passport, driver's license, national ID, etc.) before they can deposit funds or play games. Accounts found to belong to underage individuals are immediately suspended, and all funds are returned to the payment source after verification with a parent or guardian.

Parents and guardians: Please monitor your children's internet use and ensure they cannot access gambling websites. Keep payment methods (credit cards, GCash, PayMaya) secure and check bank statements regularly for unauthorized transactions.

Responsible Gaming Tools Available at pabcor

We provide several tools to help you manage your gambling activity and maintain control. All tools are accessible through your account settings and take effect immediately or after a short processing period.

Deposit Limits

Set maximum amounts you can deposit within a specific time period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Once you reach your limit, you cannot deposit additional funds until the time period resets. Deposit limits help you stick to your budget and prevent impulsive overspending.

How to set limits: Log into your pabcor account → Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Set Deposit Limits. You can decrease limits immediately, but increases have a 24-hour cooling-off period before taking effect.

Session Time Reminders

Receive pop-up notifications after playing for a set amount of time (30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.). These reminders help you stay aware of how long you've been gambling and encourage you to take breaks, stretch, and assess whether you want to continue playing.

How to enable: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Session Time Reminders → Choose your preferred interval.

Reality Checks

Periodic notifications showing how long you've been playing and your net wins/losses during the session. Reality checks provide transparency about your gambling activity and help you make informed decisions about whether to continue or stop.

How to enable: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Enable Reality Checks. You can set the frequency (every 30 min, 60 min, etc.).

Self-Exclusion

Voluntarily suspend your pabcor account for a set period: 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, or permanently. During self-exclusion, you cannot log in, deposit funds, or play games. Self-exclusion is an important tool if you feel your gambling is getting out of control and you need time away.

Self-exclusion requests are processed immediately and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period. After the exclusion period expires, your account remains closed until you actively request reactivation by contacting customer support.

How to self-exclude: Contact customer support via live chat or email [email protected] with subject line "Self-Exclusion Request." Specify the duration you wish to be excluded.

Permanent Account Closure

If you wish to permanently close your pabcor account with no option to reopen it in the future, we support that decision. Permanent closure is irreversible. Your account will be permanently deactivated, and you will not be able to create a new account using the same personal information.

Before permanent closure, we will process any pending withdrawals and return your account balance to your registered payment method. Any active bonuses or promotions will be forfeited.

How to permanently close: Contact customer support via email [email protected] with subject line "Permanent Account Closure Request." You may be asked to confirm your identity and decision.

Need Help Using These Tools? Our customer support team is available 24/7 via live chat and email to assist you with setting up responsible gaming tools. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need guidance or have questions about how these features work.

Tips for Responsible Gambling

Following these practical tips can help you enjoy gambling as entertainment while minimizing risks:

Set a Budget and Stick to It

Before you start gambling, decide how much money you can afford to lose. This should be disposable income — money that's not needed for bills, rent, food, transportation, savings, or other essential expenses. Treat this money as the cost of entertainment, similar to buying movie tickets or going out for dinner. Once you've lost your budgeted amount, stop playing.

Never Chase Your Losses

One of the most dangerous gambling behaviors is trying to win back money you've lost by continuing to play or increasing bet sizes. This rarely works and often leads to even bigger losses. Accept that losses are part of gambling. If you're on a losing streak, take a break or stop for the day.

Set Time Limits

Decide in advance how long you'll gamble and stick to that limit. Use pabcor's session time reminders to help you track time. Long gambling sessions can lead to fatigue, poor decision-making, and loss of perspective on how much you've spent.

Don't Gamble When You're Emotional

Avoid gambling when you're stressed, depressed, angry, or upset. Emotional gambling often leads to impulsive decisions and higher risks. Gambling should not be used as an escape from problems or a way to cope with negative emotions. If you're struggling emotionally, seek support from friends, family, or mental health professionals.

Balance Gambling with Other Activities

Gambling should be just one of many leisure activities in your life, not the primary or only source of entertainment. Maintain hobbies, spend time with family and friends, exercise, and engage in other activities you enjoy. A balanced lifestyle reduces the risk of gambling becoming a problem.

Understand the Odds

All casino games have a house edge, meaning the casino has a mathematical advantage over the long run. Slots, table games, and other offerings are designed as entertainment with the understanding that most players will lose money over time. Never gamble with the expectation of making a profit or as a way to solve financial problems.

Don't Borrow Money to Gamble

Never borrow money from friends, family, or lenders to fund gambling. Never use credit cards for gambling unless you can pay off the balance immediately. Gambling with borrowed money significantly increases financial risk and can lead to debt problems.
